Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Front of House Supervisor to lead our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage staff to maintain a welcoming and efficient environment. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive food industry knowledge, and a passion for hospitality excellence. The Front of House Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining high standards of food safety, service quality, and team management.
Responsibilities
- Supervise front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring smooth daily operations
- Oversee customer service interactions to guarantee guest satisfaction and resolve any issues promptly
- Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food preparation and delivery
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Assist with food handling, serving, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards
- Conduct interviewing and onboarding of new team members to build a competent workforce
- Train staff on restaurant protocols, food safety, and customer service best practices
- Monitor cleanliness and organization of the dining area to uphold hygiene standards
- Support restaurant management in inventory control, scheduling, and operational planning
- Lead by example in hospitality excellence, fostering a positive team environment
Skills
- Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry
- Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise required
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Background in hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous
- Kitchen experience or food industry background preferred
- Effective communication skills for interviewing, training, and team coordination
- Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate staff and resolve conflicts effectively
- Experience in restaurant management or overseeing food service operations is highly desirable
