Overview
We are looking for an organized and detail oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for supporting the purchasing process by sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring products are delivered on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, communicates well, and enjoys working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue purchase orders for materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Monitor inventory levels and work with internal departments to forecast purchasing needs.
- Source new suppliers and obtain competitive quotes.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms when appropriate.
- Track orders and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
- Resolve issues related to pricing, shortages, damaged goods, or delayed shipments.
- Reconcile purchase orders, invoices, and packing slips.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information.
- Assist with inventory counts and reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase purchasing efficiency and reduce costs.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience.
- Post secondary education in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and shipping or ERP software. Experience with Acumatica is an asset.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship building abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
