Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman/Woman Plumber to join our team. This role involves installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, construction experience, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. As a vital part of our workforce, you will ensure that plumbing systems operate efficiently and safely, contributing to high-quality project outcomes. Applicants should be detail-oriented, physically capable of heavy lifting, and comfortable working with a variety of tools and materials.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in new construction, renovations, or service calls.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to plan installations or repairs.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other construction tools to complete tasks efficiently.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment as required for installation or maintenance projects.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify leaks, blockages, or system malfunctions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and according to safety standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
- Adhere to all safety protocols related to plumbing work, including proper handling of hazardous materials when necessary.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge with a focus on plumbing systems and HVAC components.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Experience with construction processes including carpentry, assembly, and welding.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as pipe cutters or welders.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations related to pipe sizing or system layouts.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various work environments.
- Strong understanding of schematics for troubleshooting complex plumbing issues.
- Familiarity with safety standards related to plumbing installation and repair work.
