Love dogs? Help them look their best as a Bather! This position requires an upbeat, positive attitude, excellent customer service skills, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely handle dogs of various breeds, sizes, temperaments, and ages.
- Bathe dogs using appropriate shampoos and conditioners based on coat type and skin needs.
- Thoroughly dry dogs using towels, force dryers, and kennel dryers as appropriate.
- Brush and de-shed coats before and after bathing.
- Clean ears and perform nail trims and all types of dogs
- Monitor dogs for signs of stress, discomfort, illness, or injury and report concerns immediately.
- Maintain a clean and sanitized bathing, grooming, and kennel area.
- Clean tubs, tools, kennels, and equipment between appointments.
- Assist groomers with dog preparation and handling as needed.
- Accurately follow client instructions and grooming notes.
- Ensure all dogs are safely secured and supervised at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients.
- Follow all company safety policies, animal handling procedures, and sanitation standards.
Qualifications
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and temperaments.
- Ability to lift and restrain dogs safely (up to 50+ lbs with assistance when required).
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Some scissor-work experience required.
Physical Requirements
- Standing for extended periods.
- Frequent bending, lifting, reaching, and kneeling.
- Ability to work in a wet, noisy environment.
- Ability to safely lift dogs and bathing equipment as required.
