Responsibilities
- Create beautiful floral arrangements tailored to customer preferences and occasions
- Assist customers with selecting flowers and related products, providing expert advice on floral care and design
- Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and sales processing
- Maintain the appearance of the store’s floral displays and ensure proper merchandising of flowers and accessories
- Support landscape maintenance tasks around the store premises to keep outdoor areas vibrant and inviting
- Handle cashiering duties efficiently, ensuring smooth checkout experiences for all customers
- Engage with customers in multiple languages when possible to enhance communication and service quality
- Contribute to online sales efforts by updating product listings and managing e-commerce orders
- Organize inventory levels for flowers, gardening supplies, and horticulture tools to ensure stock availability
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of customer service and store cleanliness
Experience
- Previous experience working as a florist or in retail sales involving floral or gardening products is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is valued!
- Knowledge of horticulture practices, landscape maintenance, and gardening techniques will be advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English are essential; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers effectively
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, merchandising strategies, and cashiering processes is desirable
- Experience with customer service roles that require active listening, problem-solving, and sales skills will help you excel in this role
- Organizational skills are crucial for managing inventory, arranging displays, and maintaining a tidy workspace
