We are currently seeking a IBM ACE Sr. Developer to join our team in Tiverton, Ontario (CA-ON), Canada (CA).
Job Description:
IBM ACE Developer
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize IBM App Connect Enterprise Toolkit, IBM MQ, SOAPUI, Postman, ADF (Azure Data Factory), and Databricks to design, develop, and deploy integration solutions.
- Employ ESQL, SQL, XML, Java, and other languages as needed to implement integration logic and data transformations.
- Work with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure Data Lake to handle data storage and retrieval efficiently.
- Develop integrations using the Pub/Sub model for asynchronous communication between systems.
- Interface with various APIs and Web Services to enable data exchange and interaction between different applications.
- Drive the development of on-premises to cloud integrations, ensuring smooth data flow across environments.
- Establish ODBC connections to access and manipulate data from diverse sources.
- Apply a deep understanding of databases and data structures to optimize integration processes and enhance performance.
- Perform data transformations to ensure compatibility and consistency between disparate data formats.
- Utilize IBM MQ for testing and monitoring queues and subscriptions, ensuring robustness and reliability of messaging systems.
- Demonstrate strong debugging and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve integration issues promptly.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders to coordinate development, testing, and deployment activities across different environments (DEV, QA, Prod).
- Familiarize oneself with testing frameworks to ensure comprehensive and effective testing of integration solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ Years of Proven experience as an ACE Developer or similar role, with a focus on integration development.
- Proficiency in IBM App Connect Enterprise Toolkit and related tools such as IBM MQ, SOAPUI, Postman, ADF, and Databricks.
- Strong programming skills in ESQL, SQL, XML, and Java.
- 3+ Years of Experience working with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and Azure Data Lake.
- Familiarity with the Pub/Sub model and asynchronous communication paradigms.
- Ability to work with APIs, Web Services, and ODBC connections.
- Understanding of databases, data structures, and data transformation techniques.
- 3+ Years of Hands-on experience with IBM MQ for testing and monitoring messaging queues.
- Excellent debugging and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong coordination skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with testing frameworks is a plus.
