Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mover/Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and assisting with moving services while ensuring excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, experience in heavy lifting, and a commitment to safety and efficiency.
Duties
- Safely operate a box truck or other commercial vehicles for deliveries and moving tasks.
- Load and unload items using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Assist customers with packing, loading, and unloading their belongings during moves.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups, including route driving details.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns professionally.
- Ensure the vehicle is clean, well-maintained, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of moving tasks.
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
- Experience in commercial driving, particularly with box trucks or similar vehicles.
- Prior delivery driver experience is beneficial for understanding route driving requirements.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with heavy lifting and moving techniques is essential for this role.
