About the Opportunity
We’re a growing, entrepreneurial organization in the financial services space that is looking to bring on a Senior .NET Developer to play a key role in evolving and strengthening its internal technology platform.
This is not a “keep the lights on” development role. The team is looking for someone who is excited by solving real business problems, improving existing systems, and driving meaningful change in a fast-moving environment.
You’ll be joining a small, high-impact development team where speed, ownership, and practical thinking matter. If you enjoy rolling up your sleeves, understanding how a business actually operates, and building solutions that directly impact performance — this is a unique opportunity to do just that.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design, build, and enhance web-based, data-driven applications using .NET technologies
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Improve and optimize existing systems — not just build new ones
- Support full lifecycle development: requirements, design, development, testing, and deployment
- Debug, refactor, and continuously improve code quality and system performance
- Contribute to both technical and business documentation
- Act as a key contributor in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where priorities can shift quickly
What We’re Looking For
- Strong experience with C#, ASP.NET (MVC / Web Forms), and full-stack development
- Solid understanding of SQL / Azure SQL (queries, stored procedures, functions)
- Experience working with modern web technologies (REST APIs, JSON, JavaScript frameworks, etc.)
- Familiarity with Azure cloud environments (Web Apps, APIs)
- Ability to work across both backend and frontend components (no pure frontend specialists)
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly understand business context and apply it to development work
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with a high degree of ownership
- Experience in financial services or a similar data-driven industry is a strong asset
What Makes This Role Different
- Real impact: You’ll be helping fix, improve, and evolve a critical internal platform
- High visibility: Work directly with a small team responsible for the majority of development output
- Variety of work: A mix of enhancement, optimization, and new development
- Entrepreneurial environment: Ideal for someone who wants to build, improve, and influence — not just execute tickets
- Growth potential: Opportunity to help shape how development is done moving forward
Things to Know
- This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment — not a laid-back development shop
- You’ll be working in an iterative development environment, with bi-weekly sprints and frequent (often daily) releases as the team continues to evolve its development practices
- The team values individuals who are proactive, accountable, and solutions-oriented
If you’re someone who takes pride in building practical, high-impact solutions and wants to be part of a team that is actively improving and evolving its platform, we’d love to connect.
