Job Summary
A Massage Therapist provides therapeutic massage services to help clients reduce stress, relieve pain, improve circulation, and promote overall wellness. They assess clients’ needs, recommend appropriate treatments, and maintain a safe, professional, and relaxing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, sports, prenatal, and hot stone massage
- Assess client needs, medical history, and treatment goals before sessions
- Develop personalized treatment plans for clients
- Maintain accurate client records and treatment notes
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, sanitized, and properly stocked
- Educate clients on stretching, relaxation, posture, and wellness practices
- Adhere to health, safety, and professional ethics standards
- Maintain client confidentiality and comfort
- Stay updated on massage therapy techniques and industry trends
Qualifications
- Certification or diploma in Massage Therapy from an accredited program
- Valid state or local massage therapy license
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and massage techniques
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- CPR/First Aid certification (preferred)
