Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Italian Home Support Workers to provide exceptional care and assistance to our clients in a home setting. This role involves supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness, ensuring they receive respectful, personalized care that promotes independence and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or related fields, with a strong commitment to enhancing quality of life through attentive caregiving.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and preferences
- Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and protocols
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfer assistance, including heavy lifting when necessary
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with activities that promote mental stimulation and social engagement
- Follow all safety procedures and health guidelines to ensure client safety at all times
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice care, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, dementia care, or working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate approach to client needs
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Certification in medication administration or caregiving is a plus but not mandatory
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; reliability and punctuality are essential
- Valid driver’s license may be preferred for transportation purposes
