We are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Part-Time Barista–Baker to join our growing team. What You'll Be DoingCoffee & Beverage Service
- Craft exceptional espresso-based beverages, drip coffee, tea, matcha, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Operate, clean, and maintain commercial espresso machines, grinders, and brewing equipment.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service while taking orders and offering beverage recommendations.
- Accurately process cash and card transactions using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
Food Preparation & Baking
- Bake pre-prepared and semi-prepared pastries, scones, cookies, and other baked goods.
- Assist with food preparation and baking duties as required.
- Assemble sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other café menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Prepare and serve ice cream, smoothies, fresh juices, and other specialty beverages.
- Maintain ingredient preparation levels and assist with inventory management.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and quality control procedures.
General Café Operations
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe workspace at all times.
- Keep display cases fully stocked and attractively presented.
- Assist with patio service and outdoor seating maintenance.
- Support opening and closing procedures.
- Assist with catering orders, special events, and other operational duties as required.
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of specialty coffee and barista experience required.
- Food Safe Level 1 Certification (or willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire).
- Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, milk steaming, coffee preparation techniques, and basic latte art.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg).
- Flexible availability, including weekends and statutory holidays.

Schedule
- Part-time position.
- 15–30 hours per week, with shifts varying based on business needs.
- Opportunity for additional hours during peak seasons, holidays, and to cover team absences.
- Café operates Monday through Sunday.
- Weekend and statutory holiday availability is required.
