Duties
- Provide immediate emergency medical response and stabilization for injured individuals using paramedic techniques
- Assess injuries and conditions accurately, utilizing medical terminology to document findings clearly and professionally
- Assist athletes or patients with injury prevention strategies, including taping, stretching, and conditioning exercises
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and emergency responders to coordinate patient care plans
- Maintain detailed records of treatments, procedures, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with protocols
Qualifications
- Proven experience working in a hospital environment or similar healthcare setting with exposure to patient care
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency medical procedures
- Valid certification as a licensed athletic trainer or equivalent credentialing in sports medicine or athletic training
- Paramedic certification or licensure required; current state registration preferred
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex medical information clearly to team members and patients
- Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality patient care in fast-paced situations
