Stoney Creek Eye Care & Eyewear Boutique is a modern, patient-focused optometry practice looking for an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Optometric Assistant to join our growing team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has a passion for customer service, and is eager to learn all aspects of the optometric field. We are willing to train the right candidate and provide opportunities for professional growth within our practice.
What You'll Do
As an Optometric Assistant, you will play an important role in creating an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients enter our clinic until they leave with their eyewear.
Responsibilities include:
- Greeting patients and providing outstanding customer service
- Scheduling appointments and managing front desk duties
- Answering phone calls and assisting with patient inquiries
- Performing pre-testing and diagnostic measurements prior to eye examinations
- Assisting patients with frame selection, lens options, and eyewear recommendations
- Taking lens measurements and entering eyewear orders
- Dispensing, adjusting, and repairing eyewear
- Assisting with contact lens instruction and patient education
- Supporting dry eye therapies and other in-office procedures as training is completed
- Addressing patient concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Contributing to clinic sales goals and overall team success

Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience required
- Experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or healthcare setting is considered an asset
- Retail sales experience is an asset
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
