About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on, solutions-driven Resident Manager who takes pride in their building and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This is a highly operational role that goes beyond administrative tasks—ideal for someone with strong customer relations and technology skills who enjoys being visible on site, conducting suite walk-arounds, resolving issues efficiently, and supporting overall building operations. While leasing exposure and sales experience are assets, success in this role is rooted in ownership mentality, resilience, and the ability to manage competing priorities with professionalism and calm.
Compensation:
For further clarity on the compensation structure, this role would offer the following:
Base Salary: $33,000 annually AND: Apartment Benefit with parking valued at $1998/month (completely covered by Equiton)
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and overall presentation of common areas and prepare vacant suites for incoming residents
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact, responding promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and concerns
- Show available suites to prospective residents and support leasing activities as required
- Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and building services
- Conduct regular inspections of suites, building systems, and grounds to identify issues and ensure timely resolution
- Ensure compliance with life safety systems, fire regulations, and building standards
- Deliver exceptional customer service while fostering a safe, respectful, and well-maintained community
- Participate in an on-call rotation, including evenings and weekends, as required
What You Bring:
- A strong work ethic, reliability, and a “do-it-yourself” mindset
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Strong cleaning standards and pride in creating a well-kept environment
- Comfort with technology (email, text, MS Office; Yardi experience is a plus)
- Valid driver’s license
- Flexibility to handle emergency calls as needed
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in property management, building operations, or similar roles (2-5 years preferred)
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficiency in English (a second language is a plus)
- Able to lift up to 15kg and perform physical tasks (stairs, bending, etc.)
- Criminal background check required
