Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Liquor Store Clerk to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Operate POS systems accurately for sales transactions, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties responsibly
- Maintain knowledge of products to provide product demos and upsell items effectively
- Restock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure proper merchandising standards
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
- Enforce age restrictions for alcohol sales in compliance with legal regulations
- Keep the store clean, organized, and welcoming for customers
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members using phone etiquette and strong communication skills
- Manage time efficiently to ensure smooth store operations during shifts
Requirements
- Previous retail sales or cashiering experience preferred; experience in liquor or beverage sales is a plus
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and friendly demeanor
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Ability to operate POS systems proficiently and understand merchandising principles
- Good time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during shifts
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as needed
- Knowledge of phone etiquette and customer service best practices
