Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team on a full-time or part-time basis. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth flow of goods through accurate shipping, receiving, and inventory management. The ideal candidate will have warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse management systems, along with the ability to operate various equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks. Responsibilities
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and inspect for damages
- Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other warehouse equipment safely for load and unload tasks
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, AS400, or similar platforms for inventory tracking and order processing
- Manage order fulfillment processes including order picking and packing for e-commerce orders
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and receipts, ensuring proper documentation
- Assist in inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure stock accuracy
- Ensure compliance with safety standards during all warehouse activities
- Support warehouse distribution operations by organizing stock movement efficiently
Qualifications
- Prior experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or distribution is preferred
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), MRP, AS400 is a plus
- Experience operating forklifts, reach trucks, or other material handling equipment required; certification preferred
- Basic math skills for inventory counts and order calculations
- Ability to perform order picking, packing, and loading/unloading tasks efficiently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in shipments and inventory records
- Good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Familiarity with e-commerce fulfillment processes is advantageous
- Reliable team player with good communication skills
