Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior experience in law enforcement or surveillance is highly valued, along with familiarity with CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the facility by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security breaches or safety hazards
- Observe activity through surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious behavior
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies according to established protocols
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized entry
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of daily activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraudulent activities
Experience
- Prior experience in law enforcement, security, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance techniques and CCTV operation is highly desirable
- Familiarity with loss prevention methods and security best practices
- Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize potential threats quickly
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents and interacting with staff and visitors
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
