SleepWorks Medical is dedicated to providing patients with early detection and treatment of fatal sleep disorders such as Obstructive Sleep Apnea. SleepWorks is a division of Well Health Technologies (listed on the TSX) and is enrolled in the DAP (Diagnostic Accreditation Program) supervised by the College of Physicians and Surgeons. SleepWorks strives to achieve the best possible patient outcomes, offering various treatment options and superior patient aftercare.
Position Summary:
SleepWorks Medical is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for processing extended health benefit claims and providing administrative support, while also assisting with reception coverage and other office duties as required.
What you will be doing:

Process and manage extended health benefit claims and related documentation

Communicate with insurance providers, patients, and healthcare professionals regarding coverage and claims as well as communicating with doctor’s offices for signed paperwork

Verify insurance benefits and eligibility

Maintain accurate patient and billing records

Provide reception relief when needed, including answering phones, greeting patients, and scheduling appointments

Assist with patient inquiries and follow-up communications
You have:

Previous administrative experience in a medical environment is an asset

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer applications

Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
