Barista / Sales Associate

At Two Donkeys Bakery, we believe that great food, great coffee, and genuine hospitality can brighten someone's day. We are looking for an energetic, outgoing, and enthusiastic Barista / Sales Associate to join our growing team in Kelowna.
As a Barista / Sales Associate, you will be one of the first faces our customers see. Your positive attitude, attention to detail, and passion for customer service will help create memorable experiences while serving our handcrafted European-style baked goods, specialty coffee, and café offerings. You will also play an important role in maintaining product quality, inventory levels, cleanliness, and the smooth day-to-day operation of the store.
What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based beverages and coffee drinks
- Provide friendly, professional, and welcoming customer service
- Assist customers with product recommendations and answer questions about our bakery products
- Operate the POS system and handle cash transactions accurately
- Maintain attractive product displays and ensure products are properly stocked
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering, receiving, and rotating products
- Help manage daily stock levels and communicate inventory needs to management
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment at all times
- Perform daily cleaning duties and ensure all equipment, counters, and customer areas meet company standards
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Work closely with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Take initiative in identifying tasks and opportunities to improve the customer experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous barista experience is required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, or serving environment
- Positive, energetic, and outgoing personality
- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn, take responsibility, and grow within the company
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time positions available
- Morning and afternoon shifts available
- Weekend availability is preferred
