JUNIOR QA HARDWARE TESTER

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior QA Hardware Tester to join our team in Pickering. The ideal candidate has a background in Electronics Technology and enjoys hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, takes initiative, and is eager to learn while working with a wide range of consumer electronics.
A Day in the Life:
· Run test cases to verify new firmware before public release.
· Conduct incoming quality inspections on consumer electronic products and spare parts.
· Perform hardware validation on products prior to their release to manufacturing.
· Create rework instructions. Rework or modify products and document activities.
· Perform defect analysis on product returns.
· Build and test prototypes received from the factories and report findings.
· Repair and adjust electronic equipment using soldering tools.
· Read and follow product manuals and schematics.
· Provide support to sales administration and engineering.
· Assist with inventory movement through the warehouse.
· Other related duties as required.
You Bring to the Team:
· Post secondary education in an Electronics Technology program.
· Basic electronic hardware troubleshooting.
· User experience with iOS, Android, and Windows operating systems.
· Knowledge of computer networking, including setting up WiFi routers and configuring NAS storage.
· Logical and analytical thinker.
· Detail-oriented, accurate, with strong attention to detail.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
· Knowledge of analog and digital audio concepts is an asset.
Total Compensation: $45,000 to $47,000 annually (inclusive of base salary and variable sales incentive)
