Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Assistant to support our accounting and administrative operations. The successful candidate will assist with maintaining financial records, processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and providing general administrative support to the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Prepare and issue invoices, receipts, and payment records
- Maintain accurate financial and client account records
- Reconcile bank statements and account balances
- Enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets
- Respond to customer or vendor inquiries regarding payments and billing
- Organize and maintain accounting files and documentation
- Support month-end reporting and administrative tasks
- Assist management with additional accounting duties as required
Qualifications
- Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Previous administrative or accounting experience is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Sage is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
