Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled (willing to train) and reliable Backhoe/Skidsteer Operator to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating backhoe and skidsteer, to assist with excavation, grading, in preparation for paving. This role requires a strong understanding of construction machinery, safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment. Prior experience with various types of heavy equipment is preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Operate backhoes and skid steers to perform excavation, grading, and site preparation tasks for paving.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Follow project plans and specifications to execute tasks accurately
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety regulations and protocols
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within scope
- Support other construction activities requiring heavy equipment operation or mechanical knowledge
Skills
- Proven experience (but willing to train ideal candidate) operating backhoes, skid steers, in a construction setting.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
Pay: $24.00-$26.00 per hour
