Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Gas Station Attendant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while ensuring the smooth operation of the gas station. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers with fuel purchases, managing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their fuel and convenience store purchases.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and credit transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gas station area, including pumps and convenience store shelves.
- Monitor fuel levels and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
- Provide information about products and services offered at the gas station, including technical sales support when necessary.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a professional manner.
- Assist in stocking shelves and managing inventory as needed.
- Pump fuel for full serve customers
- Several outside chores including cleaning pumps, shoveling snow etc
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Experience in retail sales or cash handling is preferred.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus, particularly in English and another language.
- Proficient in using POS systems and handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent organizational skills to maintain a tidy work environment.
- Familiarity with technology sales is beneficial but not required.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
