Class 1 Driver – Cross-Border End Dump / Walking Floor (BC to Washington)

We’re hiring a reliable, experienced Class 1 Driver for full-time cross-border hauling—moving non-hazardous mixed construction & demolition (C&D) waste from British Columbia to approved disposal/recycling facilities in Washington State.
This role is ideal for a driver who is calm under pressure, confident in tight sites, and comfortable with cross-border procedures and paperwork. You’ll operate walking floor trailers, work around job sites and facilities, and represent the company professionally at every stop.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Haul mixed non-hazardous C&D waste (wood, drywall, concrete/asphalt fragments, packaging, etc.) from BC to Washington.
- Operate end dump and/or walking floor trailers safely and efficiently.
- Maneuver in active job sites and tight yards, following site rules and company safety standards.
- Load and unload at transfer stations, customer sites, and receiving facilities, coordinating with on-site staff.
- Complete and verify per-load shipping paperwork so the load crosses smoothly (e.g., proforma/commercial paperwork, ACE eManifest details, and bill of lading per load).
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects promptly.
- Maintain accurate hours of service, trip, and load documentation.
- Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and receiving staff to keep trips efficient and on schedule.
- Provide strong customer service—you’re the face of the company at the border and at the facility.
Requirements (Must Have)
- Valid Class 1 driver’s license (BC).
- Minimum 1 year Class 1 experience (required).
- Experience with end dump and/or walking floor trailers (or a strong willingness to learn fast).
- Comfortable working around heavy equipment and in confined/tight spaces.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Admissible to the United States and able to complete cross-border runs.
- Safety-first mindset and consistent, dependable attendance.
Nice to Have (Strong Assets)
- Previous cross-border driving experience (BC–WA).
- Familiarity with port-of-entry routines and time-sensitive trip planning.
- Experience hauling construction waste, demolition debris, aggregates, or similar materials.
Pay & What We Offer
- $80,000-90,000 per year
