Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Server/Cashier to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, accurately handling transactions, and supporting daily restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and customer interactions, with a strong focus on food safety and sanitation. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Snappy POS
- Process payments accurately through cashiering procedures, including cash handling and credit card transactions
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of guest service and hospitality
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and food safety standards are followed at all times
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen duties as needed to support smooth restaurant operations
- Maintain cleanliness of dining area, workstations, and service stations in accordance with sanitation guidelines
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service and guest satisfaction
- Handle guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and resolving issues promptly
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or south indian restaurant environment preferred; familiarity with serving, cashiering, or hospitality roles highly desirable
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Snappy/Toast/Touch Bistro is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members
- Basic math skills for cash handling, making change, and processing transactions accurately
- Understanding of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
- Previous experience in food industry roles such as serving or kitchen work is advantageous
- A friendly attitude with a professional appearance and demeanor
