Duties
- Safely operate water tanker trucks across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle, including checking fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Load and unload water using appropriate equipment such as hoses, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures are followed.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records to ensure compliance and operational efficiency.
- Perform minor repairs or report mechanical issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain vehicle reliability.
- Follow all safety protocols related to tanker operation.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating heavy vehicles such as water tankers.
- Familiarity with freight handling procedures and heavy equipment operation enhances your ability to perform duties effectively.
- Basic automotive repair skills help in troubleshooting minor vehicle issues on the go.
- Prior experience in water tanker operation is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
