Position Overview
We are seeking a Service Centre Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service in our fast-paced service center. As the first point of contact for our customers, you will ensure smooth transactions and help create a positive shopping experience. This is a seasonal position from May to October, offering an excellent opportunity for motivated and reliable individuals.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly as they enter the store and thank them for their business upon departure.
- Process cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Provide in-person customer service to wholesale and retail clients.
- Assist customers in selecting products, locating items, and addressing inquiries about products and services.
- Upsell and cross-sell complementary products and services.
- Process customer orders swiftly in a high-volume environment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the service center area.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a customer service role.
- Experience using a point-of-sale (POS) terminal is essential.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Personable, friendly, and outgoing demeanor.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Fluency in English; a second language is an asset.
- Knowledge:
- Basic understanding of horticulture or landscaping is an asset.
- Other Requirements:
- Ability to invoice customers professionally and promptly.
- Reliable transportation (no public transit is available to the area).
