Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Sandwich Artist to join our team at Bello Sandwich. This role involves preparing fresh sandwiches and salads, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but we welcome motivated individuals eager to learn. This position offers an opportunity to develop skills in food preparation, cashiering, and sanitation while contributing to a positive customer experience.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble fresh Italian sandwiches and menu items according to company standards and recipes
- Engage with customers in a friendly manner, taking orders and providing excellent customer service
- Operate the cash register (POS) and process customer transactions
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
- Maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of workstations
- Restock supplies as needed and ensure the workspace is organized and sanitary
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure high-quality food service
- Assist with opening and closing duties
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food handling, or the food industry preferred
- Proficiency with POS systems and cashiering procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced restaurant environment
