Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist with roofing projects and support our skilled roofing team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction and roofing, working on residential and commercial buildings. The ideal candidate will be dependable, physically capable, and eager to learn the trade. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is a plus, but not required. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions and requires a strong work ethic and safety awareness.
Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
- Carry and organize roofing materials and tools on-site
- Use hand tools such as hammers, screwdrivers, and caulking guns to support roofing tasks
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely and efficiently
- Read and interpret basic blueprints or project plans to support installation processes
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by organizing tools and debris removal
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools commonly used in construction and roofing projects
- Basic knowledge of construction principles, carpentry, and blueprint reading
- Experience with caulking, sealing, or waterproofing techniques is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely for extended periods
- Strong physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Handyman experience or general construction background is preferred but not mandatory
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Dependability, punctuality, and a proactive attitude toward learning new skills
Pay: $20.89-$42.28 per hour
