AML Screening - AML:
On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst - AML for a 2-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.
AML Screening - Job Description:
- Seeking a candidate with an AML name-screening / adjudication background, specifically across PEP, Adverse Media (primary volume), and FSB/sanctions-related screening (experience in these segments strongly preferred).
- This is not an investigations role. The work is initial name screening against these three risk factors and escalating cases for further review by a separate investigations team.
- Expect a high-volume, repetitive workflow (~200 screens/month). Tools include WorldCheck and open-source research platforms (prior exposure is highly desirable).
- A robust QA/quality-control process is in place to ensure adherence to required standards and procedures.
- This is an entry-level AML opportunity; ACAMS is a nice-to-have, not required.
Business Analyst - AML - Responsibilities:
- Support screening processes against various watchlists and flags
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure effective AML compliance
- Analyze and interpret adverse media and PEP/MSB information
- Participate in onboarding and formal job-specific training
AML Screening - Mandatory Skills:
- 2+ years of AML experience (closer to 4 years is preferred)
- Adverse media experience
- Experience with Money Service Business (MSB) and Political Exposed Persons (PEP)
- Previous experience in screening and understanding those processes
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong time management and priority management skills
- Attention to detail and adaptability
AML Screening – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- ACAMS certification
- Banking or financial institution experience
AML Screening - Assignment Length:
This is a 2-month contract position with the possibility of extension based on business needs and performance.
