Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to oversee daily operations of our bustling dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food service management, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality, controlling inventory, and maintaining high standards of hospitality in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in both casual and fine dining settings, along with proficiency in POS systems like Aloha and Micros, is highly desirable. The Restaurant Manager will play a pivotal role in fostering a positive team atmosphere while ensuring operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and performance management
- Oversee food preparation, presentation, and quality control to meet safety standards and customer expectations
- Manage day-to-day restaurant operations including shift management, customer service, and conflict resolution
- Control inventory levels, order supplies, and monitor food costs to maximize profitability
- Handle cash transactions accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards
- Develop staff training programs focused on food handling, customer service, and operational procedures
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure smooth food production and timely service
- Implement marketing strategies to enhance customer engagement and retention
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health codes and safety regulations
Experience
- Proven management experience in the food industry, particularly within quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments
- Extensive background in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS preferred
- Strong skills in inventory control, budgeting, and cost management
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings
- Background in fine dining or banquet management is a plus
- Prior experience in training & development of staff members for food service roles
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations across various restaurant formats including catering or hotel restaurants
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and develop team members for growth opportunities
