Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Appliance Delivery Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting appliances to customers’ homes, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the proper handling and installation of appliances. The ideal candidate will have a strong focus on safety, possess mechanical and electrical knowledge, and be capable of troubleshooting appliance issues when necessary. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery trucks to transport appliances to residential and commercial locations
- Load and unload appliances with care, ensuring no damage during transit or delivery
- Assist customers with appliance placement, setup, and basic operation instructions
- Conduct preliminary inspections of appliances for damages or defects before delivery
- Troubleshoot basic electrical or mechanical issues related to appliances during installation or delivery
- Follow schematics, diagrams, or assembly instructions for appliance setup when needed
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
- Adhere to all safety protocols and traffic regulations during deliveries
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Electrical experience or mechanical knowledge is highly desirable
- Familiarity with appliance repair, schematics, or HVAC systems is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to interpret schematics and assembly instructions for appliance setup
- Prior experience in appliance delivery, repair, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Physical ability to lift heavy appliances and perform manual tasks throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation to reach the work location at scheduled times
