A pharmacy assistant is expected to perform the following duties:
- Prescription Processing: Accurately and efficiently receiving, preparing, labeling, and dispensing prescriptions under the supervision of the Pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Performing comprehensive inventory counts, ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies, minimizing waste.
- Patient Interaction: Providing exceptional, professional, and empathetic service to patients, handling inquiries, and coordinating with healthcare providers.
- Billing & Administration: Processing insurance claims, managing third-party billing, and maintaining meticulous patient records.
- Operational Support: Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with all regulatory standards.
Previous experience is an asset.
