Position Summary
The sales consultant has a passion for sales and a drive to excel in a fast-paced environment. They work closely with customers to determine needs, provide product knowledge and assist in selection of vehicle choices. Strong customer service and communication skills are essential in this role.
Key Responsibilities
· Prospecting potential clients from our existing customer database as well as from your own network of family, friends and acquaintances
· Receiving inbound sales calls, greeting showroom/lot customers and providing assistance throughout the process of purchasing a vehicle
· Responding to Internet leads and providing continuous follow up leading to a visit to our dealership
· Making outbound calls to working prospects, eleads, customers on sales event lists, and as deemed necessary by Sales Management
· Completing a Guest Sheet for every client and entering this information into the sales system
· Completing trade-in walkarounds with customers and entering all relevant information into the sales system (including trade disclosures)
· Prepping vehicles for presentation and demonstration
· Performing vehicle presentations and demonstrating new / pre-owned in stock vehicles
· Performing deliveries of new and pre-owned vehicles. This includes the demonstration of the operation of vehicle controls, accessories, Bluetooth and the downloading of any Apps where necessary.
Requirements:
- Has experience in selling products/services, ideally in the automotive industry
- Genuinely enjoys customers and can engage them in purposeful conversations that gather information important to a sale
- Demonstrates excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Works readily with numbers and can discuss products with accuracy and assurance
- Valid Manitoba driver’s license with clean driving record.
