Role Summary
- Oversee facilities maintenance quality standards, room inspection performance, and preventive maintenance program execution
- Ensure consistent room readiness and guest experience standards across all guestrooms, function spaces, and public areas
- Drive a proactive, inspection-based and performance-focused approach to maintenance
- Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the Director of Facilities maintenance
- Works in close collaboration with the Facilities maintenance Manager to support daily operations and execution
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct audit inspections of guest rooms, public areas, conference/function spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Audit preventive maintenance (PM) completion quality and compliance for building systems, including conference centers and common areas
- dentify, document, and track recurring deficiencies impacting room condition, function space readiness, and guest experience
- Track RPM completion rates, deficiencies, and follow-through
- Support and coordinate implementation of the Annual Room Reconditioning Program
- Identify and report deficiencies based on established checklists and provide recommendations to the Director of Facilities maintenance
- Coordinate and verify completion of reconditioning activities, including HVAC and fan coil unit inspection and cleaning
- Support planning, scheduling, and compliance of reconditioning activities to ensure work is completed efficiently and documented properly
- Ensure required resources, materials, and coordination across departments are in place to support program execution
- Identify gaps in PM execution and report findings to the Director of Facilities maintenance
- Monitor and analyze GSS / Guest Voice feedback and GXP / CMMS work orders related to facilities maintenance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Facilities maintenance
Job Requirements
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in maintenance, facilities maintenance, or hotel operations
- Strong understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) from a quality and inspection perspective
- Experience with preventive maintenance programs and inspection processes
- Strong attention to detail with a quality-focused mindset
- Experience with GSS, GXP, CMMS, or similar systems is an asset
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional demeanor and ability to collaborate across departments
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Previous hotel experience is considered an asset
