Job Summary: The Financial Analyst will support budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and audits to ensure accurate and timely financial management. This role assists with tax filings, cash flow monitoring, and month-end and year-end close processes. Additionally, this role provides financial analysis, grant support, and compliance reporting to help drive informed decision-making.
Location: This role will be based out of our Home Office location. Our Home Office is located on the grounds of Tim Horton Onondaga Farms located in St. George Ontario. This position will work a hybrid work schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 working remotely.
Employment Type: This is a full-time contract position to support an upcoming leave within the team. The anticipated contract start date is September 2026 through November 2027. The annual salary range for this role is $65,000.00 – $80,000.00 depending on the skill and experience level of the selected incumbent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, variance explanations and internal variance reports.
- Perform ad hoc financial analysis as requested to assist in management decision making, forecasting and modelling.
- Complete assigned tasks and support the annual financial audit that results in no adverse findings.
- Prepare with annual federal, provincial and state tax filings as assigned.
- Support with the accurate completion of assigned month-end and year-end entries, and reconciliations.
- Responsible for review and approval of weekly accounts payable payment batches and monthly journal entries.
- Assist in the preparation of documents for presentation to the Finance and Audit Committee of the Board of Directors.
- Provide financial support and review of all grant and funding applications.
- Work cross-functionally to gather and analyze financial data as required.
- Support the maintenance and development of financial reporting systems and resources.
Does this sound like you?
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a similar financial analyst role
- Bachelor's degree in a finance-related field or equivalent experience
- Experience in planning, analysis, audit, compliance, and budgeting.
- Strong proficiency in MS Office Suite particularly Excel
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating in a team environment.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness in proposing new ways to streamline processes and create efficiencies.
- Flexible and a self-starter; able to multitask while also being highly detail-oriented.
- Experience in cross-border finance (USA and Canada) and not not-for-profit finance is an asset
- Ability to submit an acceptable Criminal Record Search
- Bilingual – English and French considered a strong asset.
