Overview
We are seeking a skilled Semi Truck Mechanic to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive and heavy equipment repair, with experience working on semi trucks and industrial machinery. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy-duty vehicles and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. The position offers an opportunity to work with a diverse range of machinery in a dynamic environment, utilizing both mechanical and electrical expertise.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on semi trucks, including engine, transmission, brake systems, and electrical components
- Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and diagnostic tools
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery for repair or movement purposes
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized maintenance tools to complete repairs
- Conduct inspections on farm machinery, HVAC systems, and other industrial equipment to identify potential issues
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams for accurate repairs
- Assist with assembly or disassembly of parts as needed for repairs or upgrades
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and parts used for each service event
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with semi trucks or heavy-duty vehicles is required
- Dealership experience is highly desirable
- Hands-on experience with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, HVAC systems, welding, and electrical systems is preferred
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair principles combined with mechanical knowledge of industrial equipment
- Familiarity with schematics, diagnostic procedures, and maintenance protocols for heavy equipment
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Experience working with power tools and hand tools in a maintenance setting
- Prior customer service experience is a plus for interacting with clients or team members effectively
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
This position requires a dedicated professional with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to safety. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or as part of a team to ensure all machinery operates reliably and efficiently.
Pay: $3,000.00-$6,000.00 per month
