Position Summary
Reporting to the BC Community Director and BC School Runs Manager, the Administrative Support Officer will provide administrative support for the BC provincial office, Terry Fox Community Run and the Terry Fox School Run programs. Responsibilities include communications with event stakeholders to provide positive engagement experiences, administrative duties, fulfilling merchandise orders and processing event revenue.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare, collate and distribute Run information kits
- Data entry, processing for 2026 School Run/Community Run registrations
- Maintaining the administration of files and correspondence for Terry Fox events
- Updating and maintaining records in (CRM) Salesforce
- Overseeing merchandise inventory, including receiving deliveries and shipping orders
- Calling prospective registrants for 2026 participation to support recruitment efforts
- Support Mt Terry Fox Trek and Silver Fox events
- Assisting stakeholders and public inquiries as needed – replying to incoming email, phone inquiries
- General office duties and to assist with other special projects as required

Qualifications
- Experience in an administrative or customer service capacity in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated experience with Office 365 and Salesforce or similar CRM system.
- Ability to take initiative, anticipate potential problems, and take appropriate action.
- Ability to balance multiple projects and activities with competing deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail with strong organization and time management skills.
- Outstanding donor or customer relations skills.
- Energetic, dedicated, and flexible individual who works well on their own and as part of a team.
This is a part-time contract which begins on June 8th, 2026 and will end on August 28, 2026 with possibility of extension.
This position is supplemented by the Canada Summer Jobs Program. The successful hire MUST meet ALL of the following grant conditions in order to qualify for this position.
Eligibility / Applicants Must:
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment
- Be Canadian citizens, permanent residents or persons to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial and territorial legislation and regulations
- Live within a reasonable distance so as to be able to report in-person to the Port Coquitlam, BC Office during the full term of employment
