Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Prior experience in food service or as a barista is preferred but not required, as training will be provided. Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages following company standards.
- Operate POS systems such as Micros POS efficiently for order processing and cash handling.
- Ensure all food safety and hygiene standards are maintained during food preparation and serving.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills; process payments via cash or card.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas throughout shifts.
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth operation during busy hours.
- Assist with food preparation tasks when necessary to support overall store operations.
- Follow food handling guidelines to ensure safety and quality standards are met consistently.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a barista or in the food industry is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for candidates eager to learn.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Basic math skills for cash handling and POS transactions.
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to handle peak hours efficiently.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
