Super Save is seeking a skilled and reliable Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and diagnosis of trucks, trailers, and forklifts including hydraulic and electrical systems. You will also be involved in the disassembly and reassembly of heavy equipment components as required.
What You Bring:
- Red Seal Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certification
- Proficiency with diagnostic software.
- Must supply your own tools.
- Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean abstract.
- Welding experience is considered an asset.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong communication skills for providing clear updates to Managers on repair status and equipment condition.
- Strong knowledge of the English language (written and verbal).
- Experience in the disposal industry is an asset.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting 50–75 lbs throughout the day.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support and adhere to company health and safety policies, procedures, and scheduled maintenance programs.
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and faults.
- Clean, lubricate, and maintain a variety of heavy equipment.
- Interpret work orders, manuals, and technical documentation.
- Complete accurate and detailed service reports.
- Ensure all work performed meets manufacturer specifications and legislative requirements.
