Experienced Fire Suppression System Technician / Installer

About the Position
We are looking for an experienced Fire Suppression System Technician / Installer to join our growing team.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking someone who is comfortable working independently and can handle retrofit projects, service upgrades, and complete system installations with minimal supervision.
You will be doing the hardest jobs, early morning, mornings, late night, nights weekend work. Not always, but when the demand is there. There will be no room for complaining. Looking for a solid individual who’s looking to grow within the company as a lead hand. If you do not identify as solid installer or lukewarm please do not apply here. I’m looking for someone who has the fire in their belly, and maybe your current employer doesn’t see your worth.
The majority of our work involves commercial kitchen fire suppression systems in operating restaurants, including older and heavily used kitchen environments that require troubleshooting, retrofitting, and modernization.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Retrofitting outdated commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
* Re-piping existing suppression systems.
* Replacing and upgrading detection lines and fusible link systems.
* Installing nozzles, tanks, pull stations, gas valve interfaces, and related components.
* Performing complete system replacements and upgrades.
* Working in active restaurant environments, including heavily greased commercial kitchens.
* Installing brand-new fire suppression systems in new construction and renovation projects.
* Diagnosing deficiencies and determining practical code-compliant solutions.
* Reading and interpreting installation drawings and manufacturer requirements.
* Completing service documentation and installation reports.
The Ideal Candidate
You are someone who:
* Has hands-on experience installing or servicing fire suppression systems.
* Is comfortable working in commercial kitchens and understands that not every environment will be clean.
* Can troubleshoot existing systems and identify efficient retrofit solutions.
* Takes pride in producing neat, professional piping and installations.
* Works safely and efficiently without constant supervision.
* Communicates professionally with customers, restaurant owners, and inspectors.
Requirements
* Experience with commercial kitchen fire suppression systems.
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
* Experience with piping, mounting hardware, detection systems, and system retrofits.
* Ability to work on ladders and lifts.
* Valid Ontario G Driver’s License.
* Ability to lift and carry equipment and tools as required.
Preferred Experience
* ANSUL, Range Guard, Amerex, Pyro-Chem, Kidde, or similar suppression systems.
* Fire protection industry experience.
* Gas valve and electrical interface experience.
* Commercial kitchen construction or renovation experience.
* Working at Heights certification.
