Location: Gogama, ON (Cote Gold Site)
Work Schedule and Environment: 14 days in and 14 days out- 12-hour shift daily
Job Overview:
The Janitor and Cleaner will be responsible for performing cleaning duties in an office and camp setting. The Janitor and cleaner shall provide support to the Site Services Manager. The Janitor and Cleaner shall maintain the cleaning logs and ensure cleaning according to the standard cleaning protocols.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform general cleaning duties in an office and camp setting.
- Ensure to disinfect and sanitize all surfaces.
- Sweep, mob, wash, and polish floors.
- Clean up the office and empty trash containers.
- Detailed cleaning of all workstations with disinfecting protocols
- Maintain and update the cleaning logs as required.
- Clean and maintain the washrooms.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Valid surface miner common core is an asset. However, if hired this would be required to obtain.
- Experience in a camp and office setting is an asset.
- Strong communication skills required.
- G Class Driver’s license with clean driving record (abstract required if hired).
- Must be conversant with OHSA regulations and comply with the site safety plan and rules.
