Role Snapshot

Summary
The General Warehouse Worker supports the safe, accurate and efficient operation of the Multiurethanes warehouse.
Reporting to the Service Coordinator, this position is responsible for shipping and receiving, order preparation, inventory handling, product repackaging, equipment and vehicle support, and general warehouse and property maintenance.
The successful candidate will be dependable, safety-focused and comfortable performing a variety of physical and organizational duties in a changing operational environment. The role requires close coordination with warehouse employees, Field Technicians, purchasing personnel and other departments.
Responsibilities
- Clean and maintain the interiors and exteriors of company vehicles.
- Restock vehicle supplies and assist with vehicle inspection, maintenance and checklist records.
- Assist with loading and unloading project tools, equipment and materials.
- Report vehicle damage, maintenance concerns or missing supplies.
- Maintain clean and orderly warehouse, yard, and work areas.
- Perform general property maintenance, including sweeping, garbage and cardboard removal, grass cutting and seasonal cleanup.
- Clean, inspect, organize and paint tools or equipment as assigned.
- Assist with basic equipment servicing when trained and authorized.
- Promptly report damaged equipment, spills, injuries or unsafe conditions.
- Receive, inspect and store incoming materials, equipment and supplies.
- Assist with preparing customer orders and project materials.
- Restock shelving, packaging materials and commonly used supplies.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures, WHMIS requirements and supervisor instructions.
- Perform other warehouse, shipping, receiving and maintenance duties assigned by the Service Coordinator.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, construction supply or industrial experience is preferred.
- Valid Ontario driver’s licence with a clean driving record is preferred.
- Forklift or material-handling equipment experience is an asset.
- Basic understanding of warehouse procedures and workplace safety requirements.
- Strong safety-focused attitude and behaviour.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Ability to safely lift and carry materials weighing up to approximately 23 kg, or 50 lb.
- Ability to use team lifting techniques or material-handling equipment for heavier or awkward items.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in a team environment.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality and attention to detail.
- Ability to adjust to changing operational and customer priorities.
- Basic computer and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English sufficient to understand safety instructions, product labels, work procedures and shipping documentation.
