Position: Line Cook/Breakfast Host
Location: Hyatt Place Windsor
Are you passionate about cooking and love working by yourself? Hyatt Place Windsor is looking for dedicated and skilled Cook and Breakfast Host join our team. We're seeking individuals who can make delicious and memorable meals for our guests, ensuring every plate meets the highest standards. This position is part time, but in all areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
- Work independently, due to the size of the hotel and kitchen, you will be working by yourself to prepare all meals
- Ensure all food is properly cooked, and beautifully presented
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in line with health regulations
- Prepping and setting up workstations before service and for breakfast the next day
- Ensure food comes out simultaneously, in a timely fashion
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper storage procedures
- Assist in inventory management, including stocking and ordering supplies as needed
- Inspecting equipment to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices
- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and assist in various kitchen tasks as required
- Responsible for cleaning all dishes and putting away
- Responsible for stocking up the breakfast items for the next day.
- Set up breakfast and replenish food etc.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant is required
- Knowledge of food preparation and kitchen safety standards
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary certification or equivalent experience is an asset
- Food Handling Certificate Required
The days and hours are set to be...Breakfast Host Saturday and Sunday 6am-11:30am. Line Cook Monday and Tuesday 5-10pm. Hours and days could change but to give an idea of the shifts currently needed.
As a line cook/breakfast host you will need to be able to multi task and work well under pressure.
