Dental Receptionist / Dental Administrator
We are seeking a professional, organized, and patient-focused Dental Receptionist / Dental Administrator to join our busy and collaborative dental practice.
This position is ideal for someone who already understands the pace and workflow of a dental office environment and is confident supporting both patients and clinical providers in a fast-paced setting.
The successful candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and able to contribute positively to a strong team culture.
About the Role
As a key member of our front office team, you will play an important role in creating a welcoming patient experience while supporting the efficiency of daily clinic operations.
We are looking for someone who can confidently manage scheduling, patient communication, insurance coordination, and front desk responsibilities with professionalism and care.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of dental administration experience required
- Strong understanding of dental terminology, scheduling, insurance claims, treatment estimates, and patient coordination
- Familiarity with dental insurance processes and workflows commonly used in Canadian dental practices required
- Experience with dental practice management software required
- Experience with AbelDent and/or MaxAssist considered a strong asset
- Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after onboarding
Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and patient recalls
- Coordinate hygiene appointments and follow-up care
- Process insurance claims, pre-determinations, and treatment estimates
- Maintain accurate patient records and billing information
- Respond to incoming calls, emails, and patient inquiries
- Coordinate communication between patients and the clinical team
- Support smooth and efficient daily front office operations
- Contribute to a positive and patient-centered office environment
