We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Middle Years Teacher to join our school community. This position will primarily involve teaching Junior High Social Studies, with the ability to also teach Junior High CTS courses such as Industrial Arts, Wildlife, and Outdoor Education. The successful candidate will plan for, instruct, and assess student learning while creating an engaging and supportive classroom environment that encourages student growth, curiosity, and participation. The ideal applicant will bring creativity, flexibility, and a passion for middle years education, while fostering positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
This is a full time (1.0 FTE) probationary position to commence the first day of the 2026-2027 school year. Candidates should demonstrate strong instructional and classroom management skills, along with a solid understanding of the Alberta Program of Studies and effective assessment practices. Experience or interest in CTS programming and hands-on learning opportunities will be considered a strong asset. Applicants must hold a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate and be committed to supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of junior high students.
