Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Civil Maintenance Labourer to join our team. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks on commercial client properties within the NCR. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and experience operating heavy equipment and hand tools. Must hold a valid G drivers licence and have experience with hand and power tools. Carpentry background is an asset. Minor electrical and plumbing knowledge is considered an asset.
Duties
- Maintenance and repair of park assets and hard surfaces
- Operate mechanical equipment such as forklifts and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently
- Use hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other mechanical devices to perform maintenance tasks
- Perform general site cleanup
- Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment
- Operate pressure washing equipment
- Propane handling
Experience
- Experience in carpentry and general site/building maintenance is considered an asset
- Experience Operating 1/2 ton and while towing a trailer
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts and other heavy machinery safely
- Mechanical knowledge related to site maintenance and repair tasks
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions with minimal supervision
This role requires a proactive individual capable of handling physically intensive tasks while adhering to safety standards. Candidates should be prepared to contribute effectively within a team environment while demonstrating technical competence in various maintenance activities.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
