We are looking for an aspiring 2nd/3rd/4th year automotive technician apprentice with passion for helping others that want to learn, grow and build a career in the industry. Our business is growing through investment in our shop and our people. This is a new position that has the opportunity to carve out a unique role, since for us, it is about hiring the right people who can add to our collaborative culture and then leveraging their skills to contribute to the happiness of our clients and the success of our team!
Responsibilities
As an automotive technician apprentice, you’ll have the opportunity to perform a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of makes and models of cars and light-trucks, including:
- Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
- Tires, tire repairs, alignments, steering and suspension
- Brake repairs
- Car heating and air conditioning
- Belts, hoses, radiator and engine cooling systems
- Batteries, starting and charging
- Oil services, visual safety and courtesy inspections
- Mufflers and exhaust services
- Other responsibilities of interest to help the successful candidate develop skills and competencies based on their long term career goals
Qualifications
- Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools
- Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
- Knowledge of brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics on both import and domestic vehicles
- Adherence to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Own tools/equipment preferred, but not required
