Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing product demonstrations, and driving sales across various high-end retail environments. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of sales techniques, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting. Experience with outside and inside sales, merchandising, and product demos will be highly valued. Multilingual abilities and familiarity with tools such as SketchUp, CAD, or POS systems are a plus. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Conduct engaging product demonstrations and upsell complementary items to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage customer transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments efficiently
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through personalized service and account management
- Organize merchandise displays to enhance visual appeal and optimize product placement through effective merchandising techniques
- Utilize marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clients
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance
- Provide detailed product information, including features, benefits, and technical specifications such as CAD or SketchUp when applicable
- Assist in inside sales efforts by following up with potential clients and managing ongoing accounts
- Support renovation or construction projects by providing insights on product suitability or space planning as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, high-end sales, or related fields such as renovation or construction sales preferred
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math for transaction processing
- Knowledge of merchandising, product demos, upselling techniques, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with CAD or SketchUp is a plus for understanding product design or space planning aspects
- Customer service orientation with the ability to build rapport quickly and professionally
- Flexibility to adapt to different sales scenarios including inside sales, outside sales, and account management roles
- We are a small business and need someone who is willing to multi task, cleaning, some warehouse work etc.
- Work every 2nd or 3rd Saturday with having the following Monday off.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Pay: $16.00-$30.00 per hour
