Overview
Blue Star School of Trades is currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Carpentry Instructor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and preparing students for the Red Seal Carpentry Exam.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured lessons aligned with the Red Seal exam requirements
- Support students through theory and practical understanding of carpentry concepts
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
- Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and activities that promote critical thinking and active participation.
- Maintain a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages respect, collaboration, and inclusivity among students.
Qualifications
- Valid IP Red Seal Carpentry certification
- Extensive knowledge of the carpenter trade
- Strong instructional and communication skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to connect with students effectively.
- A commitment to professional development and lifelong learning in the field of education.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $50.00-$80.00 per hour

- Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Red Seal certification in Carpentry (required)
